Mr. Finn-Tore Pettersen is the Senior Strategic Risk and Security Manager for Coca-Cola in 35 countries on the African continent, based in Lagos, Nigeria since 2016. His main background and field is operations, as Incident Commander, Chief of Operations, and including planning of events and work with the oil companies. Previously to his work for Coca-Cola he served in the Norwegian Police Service for almost 28 year's. He has international experience from working in the UN/OSCE as an advisor, and as a teacher for the police around the world, including the Balkans, Caucasus and on both the Asian and African continent. He finished his career in the police service as Assistant Chief of Police and as Police adviser to East Africa Standby Force and AU. Mr. Pettersen has lived on the continent since 2014 working with both the police service and Coca-Cola.
Investment Fund for developing countries (IFU) is an independent government owned fund from Denmark that offers advisory services and risk capital to companies wishing to do business in developing countries and emerging markets, such as in Africa. Their objective is to promote economic and social development in developing countries through giving investments in the form of commercial equity, share capital and loans. Additionally, they promote the opportunities for Danish trade and industry in the emerging markets. In cooperation with Danish companies, IFU has made over 1250 investments in over 100 developing countries, with a total investment close to EUR 23 billion. Additionally, IFU manages a number of other investment funds, including the Danish SDG Investment Fund and the Danish Climate Investment Fund (DCIF). IFU has offices in Accra, Lagos, Johannesburg and Nairobi.
African Innovation Week 2019, scheduled to be held 28th Oct – 2nd Nov-2019 at the African Union Head Quarter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. African Innovation Week is a pan-African innovation movement and is determined to move Africa forward towards an inclusive and prosperous continent led by technology. It seeks to create a platform to bridge the gap between innovation and investment, between Africa and the rest of the world so as to build the future leaders of Africa. African Innovation Week-2019 is organized by IBA Ethiopia Center for Innovation in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the Ministry of Innovation & Technology of Ethiopia, Oslo International Hub, IBA Norway, the Ethiopian Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and several major universities of Ethiopia with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway via their Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During the weeklong event, we expect to host African and international startups, accelerators and entrepreneurs; investors and venture capitalists; policy makers; innovators and game changers; and academicians & people from business communities. We are expecting 4000+ participants, including 150+ Startups, and 75+ speakers and panellists.

The South African Norwegian Association (SANA) is a non-profit organisation that provides a platform to stimulate economic activity, promote collaboration, trade and investment between South African and Norwegian business communities. SANA established a social impact program to stimulate collaboration within the areas of higher education, entrepreneurship, capacity development, knowledge generation and collaborative research between South African and Norwegian institutions.
