Ms. Lotfi Maktouf is Tunisian, graduated from the law schools of Tunis (1978), Paris-Sorbonne (1979), and Harvard (1982).

He is a member of the New York bar and started his legal career in Wall Street in the 80’s with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton before serving for 4 years as Principal Counselor at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC.

He then returned to Europe to form a 50/50 joint company with the Baron Edmond de Rothschild. They engaged in M&A activities in Telecom, power generation, debt rescheduling and banking.

Since 1996, as controlling and principal investor in all of his entities and activities, Mr. Maktouf devotes his time and resources as philanthropist to an array of activities and institutions.
