Ms. Ylva Cornelia Axelsen is a partner with SANDS’ Banking and Finance group. She has several years’ experience from law firms and as an in-house lawyer at Nordea Bank. In 2018 her contributions and leadership was recognised by the Legal 500 GC Powerlist, listing her team as one of the most influential in-house legal teams in Norway today. She is ranked as a highly regarded banking law practitioner in the IFLR1000 for 2020. Ms. Axelsen has assisted Nordic and international banks with structuring and agency of syndicated loan financing in particular to the shipping, offshore, oil service and cruise industries.
Ms. Axelsen holds a masters of law (LLM) from the University of Cape Town, and Cand jur. degree from the University of Oslo.
