H.E. Jan Christian Vestre

H.E. Jan Christian Vestre was appointed Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway on October 14, 2021. Vestre was born in 1986 in Haugesund, on the Norwegian west coast. Before being appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry, Vestre held the position as CEO of the furniture company Vestre. Vestre has a law degree from the University of Oslo. Vestre has held several positions in the Norwegian Labour Party. Between 2013 and 2017 he had the position as Chair of the committee for the restoration of Utøya after the terror attacks in 2011.
