Ms. Monica Mæland
Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry
Ms. Monica Mæland was appointed Minister of Trade and Industry in 2013, representing the Norwegian Conservative Party. Prior to this appointment, she served on the City Council in Bergen in 1999 where she was a member until she became Chief Commissioner. Ms. Mæland holds a graduate degree in law from the University of Bergen, and practiced as a lawyer until entering politics full-time. She has also served on the board of renowned companies such as Norwegian State House Bank and KLP Fondsforvaltning.
