Mr. Mcebisi Jonas

Mr. Mcebisi Jonas is the Former Deputy Minister of Finance in South Africa. He served as the Chairperson and Non-Executive Director of Public Investment Corporation Limited and as a member of the National Assembly in the Parliament and member of the African National Congress. He has an extensive career in investment and trade promotion for companies such as Singapore Development Agency, Ireland Development Agency, Malaysian development Agency. Mr. Jonas has been appointed by the President of South Africa as part of his four special envoys on investment. Responsible for travelling across the world and approach would-be investors to encourage investments in South Africa. He is currently the Executive Director of the MTN Group.
Mr. Jonas holds the Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology and earned a Higher Diploma in Education (Rhodes University, SA). He also studied marketing at the University of Cape Town.
