Mr. Erling J. Ølstad is the founder and CEO of Mester Grønn, a leading retail flower chain with over 140 stores across Norway. In 2013 Mr. Ølstad became the Honorary Consul of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Kingdom of Norway. He has been doing business with East African farms since 1999, and today Mester Grønn is Norway's largest importer of flowers from East Africa. In addition, Mr. Ølstad sits on various boards including the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI), NABA and Neat Kenya, among others.
