Ms. Anna Riley

Ms. Anna Riley is an Africa-focused investment adviser and risk and reputation management specialist, with particular expertise in the agriculture sector. She has advised leadership from blue chip multinationals, investment firms, and development organisations across the African continent over the past decade. Prior to co-founding Sofala Partners, she established and ran the first risk advisory firm in Tanzania from 2011-2014 and subsequently led the Southern Africa business for advisory firm africapractice from South Africa, where she also served as Group Head of Agriculture. A dual Finnish-British national, Ms. Riley started her career as a reporter at the Finnish News Agency (STT) and later led advocacy for investors in Africa towards multilateral bodies at the Brussels-based Private Investors for Africa, as well as global advocacy for the agricultural inputs industry body, CropLife International. Her motivation lies in supporting private sector-led development in the region.
Ms. Riley has degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the Universities of Edinburgh and Helsinki, respectively.
